About these terms
This website is operated by Earth First Limited, trading as Fastprint, NZBN 9429037077648. It provides information about branded products, plastic cards and business printing. These terms explain website use and the general basis on which we quote for work. The written quote and any specific terms agreed for your order set out the job details. Nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Email service@fastprint.co.nz, phone 0800 464 325, or write to Fastprint, PO Box 8036, New Plymouth 4342. This is a postal address, not a shop or showroom.
Enquiries, quotes and orders
Sending an enquiry is not an order or a commitment to buy. Product pages are a guide, not a live stock or price list. We confirm the selected product, quantity, printing, artwork, delivery requirements and price in a quote before you decide whether to proceed. An order is agreed when you accept the quote and we confirm acceptance in writing.
Quotes will identify the currency, GST treatment, delivery charges and any artwork or setup costs. Payment arrangements, any required deposit and the quote’s validity will be stated in the quote or agreed with you before work starts. We will seek your agreement before making changes that affect the price or specification.
Your artwork and permission to print
You must have the right to use the logos, text, photographs and other material you ask us to reproduce. Supplying artwork gives us permission to use it, and share it with relevant production suppliers, for the purpose of quoting and completing your job. It does not transfer ownership of your artwork or give us permission to use it in advertising.
Do not supply unlawful material or material that infringes another person’s rights. We may decline work where there are reasonable concerns about legality or permission to reproduce it, and will explain those concerns where appropriate.
Artwork proofs and approval
Please check the proof carefully before approving it, including names, spelling, contact details, dates, quantities, layout and the version of your logo. Let us know about any changes before production. We check artwork for the agreed printing process, but you are best placed to confirm the accuracy of your business information.
A screen proof shows layout and content; it is not an exact physical colour or material sample. If a particular colour match, finish or measurement is essential, raise it before approval so we can agree how it will be checked. Proof approval does not excuse a production fault or remove your statutory rights.
Products, materials and printed colour
Photographs may show sample branding or illustrative designs. The product and printing supplied must match the description and specifications agreed for your order. Screen settings, printing processes and material surfaces can affect colour appearance. Natural materials can vary in grain or colour. Any material variation or substitution that changes the agreed order requires your agreement.
Production and delivery
Tell us about an event date or other firm deadline before ordering. We confirm the production and delivery arrangements with you, including whether a date is an estimate or an agreed deadline. Artwork changes, late approval or changes to the order may affect that timing. If a delay arises, we will let you know and discuss the available options.
Please provide a complete delivery address and contact details. If you need to change them, contact us promptly so we can check whether dispatch arrangements can still be altered.
Changes and cancellations
Contact us as soon as possible if you want to change or cancel an order. Custom-printed goods may not be reusable once production has started, so a change or cancellation may no longer be practical. Any charge will depend on the agreed order terms and reasonable work or costs already committed; it is not an automatic penalty. We will explain the position and any proposed costs. This does not limit a legal right to cancel or obtain a remedy.
If something is wrong
If goods arrive damaged, printing is incorrect or the order does not match what was agreed, contact us with your order details and a description of the problem. Photographs can help us investigate. Please keep the goods and packaging where practical while we discuss what needs to happen next.
We will assess the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy under the agreed order and applicable law. Where the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies, its guarantees and remedies remain available. These terms do not exclude or restrict rights under that Act, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. A proof approval or the fact that goods were custom printed does not remove those rights.
Using this website
You may browse and use the website to find products and enquire about our services. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access or misuse the enquiry forms. Website text, designs, photographs and branding belong to Fastprint or their respective owners; permission to browse does not grant permission to reproduce them commercially.
We aim to keep information accurate and will correct errors brought to our attention. External links are provided for convenience and do not mean we control or endorse everything on those sites. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
Questions, changes and governing law
Contact us first if you have a question or dispute so we can try to resolve it. These terms are governed by New Zealand law, without limiting any mandatory protections that apply to you. Updates to these website terms apply from the date shown above; they do not change an existing accepted order unless we both agree or the law requires it.
