Who is responsible for your information
Fastprint is operated by Earth First Limited, NZBN 9429037077648. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you contact us, request a quote or place an order. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Email service@fastprint.co.nz, phone 0800 464 325, or write to Fastprint, PO Box 8036, New Plymouth 4342. This is a postal address, not a shop or showroom.
What we collect and why
When you enquire, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company and the details of your print job. If you order, we may also need delivery and billing details, artwork, proof approvals and records of our correspondence. We use this information to answer questions, prepare quotes, check artwork, arrange production and delivery, manage payments and resolve any problems.
You can choose what to provide. Without a way to contact you or enough information about the job, we may not be able to answer your enquiry or complete your order. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or personal information that is not needed for the work.
Names, photographs and details in artwork
Artwork for business cards, membership cards or ID badges may contain information about other people. Please supply only what is needed and make sure you have authority to share it for printing. Where we collect personal information indirectly, we will provide any notice required by the Privacy Act unless an exception applies.
Who information may be shared with
Information may be accessed by staff and service providers who need it for the enquiry or order. This can include our hosting, email and IT providers, printing and product suppliers, delivery companies, and accounting or other professional advisers. We limit sharing to what is needed for that purpose. We may also disclose information where you authorise it or the law requires or permits it.
We do not sell your personal information. Asking for a quote does not sign you up to a marketing mailing list.
Storage, security and overseas services
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access or disclosure. No online service or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, including relevant business, accounting and legal obligations, then securely delete it or remove identifying details.
Service providers may process information outside New Zealand. Where the Privacy Act’s overseas disclosure rules apply, we will take the steps required to ensure appropriate safeguards or another lawful basis for the disclosure. Contact us if you need more information about how a particular job or file will be handled.
Website browsing and enquiry forms
This website does not use advertising pixels or third-party analytics. Our hosting provider may record technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser details and errors to operate and secure the website. Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Our enquiry forms use a session cookie to help protect against unwanted submissions. The cookie is not used for advertising. On a local preview, online delivery is disabled and form entries are not sent. You can contact us using the email address or phone number above instead.
Access, corrections and privacy concerns
You can ask for access to personal information we hold about you and request a correction. Contact service@fastprint.co.nz and mark your message “Privacy”. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information. If we do not make a requested correction, you can ask us to attach a statement of the correction you sought.
Please contact us if you have a privacy concern so we can look into it. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or information-handling practices change. The date above shows the latest version. A policy update does not by itself authorise a new, unrelated use of information already collected.
